The Uganda taxpayer identification number (TIN) is a a 10 digit numeric identifier where the first nine digits represent a sequentially assigned number, and the final digit is a check digit based on the modulus checksum algorithm. The TIN is assigned to every taxpayer by the Uganda Revenue Authority.
