The Singapore National Registration Identity Card (NRIC) Number is 9 characters in length, starting with a prefix letter that indicates the status of the holder, followed by a 7-digit serial number, and ending with a checksum character. The NRIC is a unique number issued to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents of Singapore. Foreign individuals are issued a variant of the NRIC number, known as the Foreign Identification Number (FIN), where the prefix letter is "F", "G", or "M".
Unique Entity Number (UEN)

The Singapore Unique Entity Number (UEN) is a 9 or 10-digit identification number assigned to entities registered in Singapore. It's used by government agencies to identify and track businesses, companies, and other entities. The UEN system was introduced to streamline administrative processes and improve efficiency in dealings with the government. Each UEN is unique to a specific entity and is used for various purposes, such as tax filing, regulatory compliance, and business transactions.
Goods and Services Tax ID (GST)

The Singapore Goods and Services Tax (“GST”) Registration Number is 10 characters in length, where the first two characters may be letters or numbers, the following 7 characters are numbers, and the last character is a checksum character. The GST Registration Number is issued to entities that are registered for GST purposes with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (“IRAS”). GST numbers fulfill the same purpose as VAT numbers do in other countries.
