The Taxpayer Personal Identification Number (INN) is 12 digits for individuals. The INN may be assigned by the tax authority at the place of individual’s permanent residence, temporary residence (in case individual has no permanent residence in Russia), or at the place of individual’s immovable property or vehicle (in case individual has no permanent or temporary residence in Russia). The INN can be found on the certificate of registration of an individual or business as a taxpayer.

The Taxpayer Personal Identification Number (INN) is 10 digits for entities. It may also be used for VAT purposes. It is generated according to a unique algorithm set by the Federal Tax Service. The INN can be found on the certificate of registration of an individual or business as a taxpayer.
