The National Identifiter Number (IN) is 13 digits for natural persons and 11 digits for non-natural or legal persons. The last two digits of the 13 digit number are check digits and the last digit of the 11 digit number is a check digit. These numbers are used as a TIN-like number to identify the taxpayer in Luxembourg.

Taxe sur la Valeur Ajoutee (TVA)

For Entities, VAT, Example: LU 150 274 42

The Taxe sur la Valeur Ajoutee (TVA) consists of 8 digits with an optional prefix of LU and the last two digits are check digits. The TVA is used for tax and VAT purposes in Luxembourg.
