The Ghana Card PIN (Personal Identification Number) is the unique, number found on National Identity Cards (Ghana Card). It begins with a three-letter country code, followed by 10 digits where the final digit is a check digit. For individuals, this number has replaced the separate Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) previously issued by the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), and serves as the universal unique identifier for various official transactions.

The Ghana Revenue Authority TIN is an 11-digit alpha-numeric number, each with a unique prefix as follows: P00 for individuals, C00 for companies, G00 for government agencies, Q00 for foreign missions, V00 for public institutions, trusts, co-operatives, and foreign shareholders.
