Unified Civil Number (UCN)

For Individuals, Example: 9234567830

The Unified Civil Number (UCN) is 10 digits. It is assigned by the Ministry of Interior and can be found in all identity documents.

Unified Identification Code (UIC)

For Entities, Example: 923456783

The Unified Identification Code (UIC) is 9 digits. All legal entities receive a UIC upon registration. The UIC is assigned by the Registry Agency who manages the Trade Register or the BULSTAT Register.

VAT Number (VAT)

For Individuals, Entities, VAT, Example: BG 923 456 783

The Bulgarian VAT Number is 9 digits for legal entities or 10 digits for individuals, with an optional prefix of BG. It uses a checksum algorithm for accuracy. VAT registration may be completed with the Bulgarian National Revenue Agency.
